Canada has some of the cheapest electricity prices in the world. These low prices make it harder for clean and sustainable sources to replace the dirty climate polluting ones. As the chart shows there are many wealthy economies that thrive despite high per-kWh prices. Studies show that higher per-kWh prices make big gains in efficiency worth doing and results in less energy to do the same job without raising the overall energy bill.
