CERI estimated how much provincial GDP would result over 25 years from a tripling of the rate of carbon extraction from the tar sands. This graphic shows two views of this information. The top map is from CAPP and shows the total dollar amounts from 25-years. The bottom map I created to show what percentage of GDP this represents for the selected provinces. Note that the share for Quebec and Manitoba is not visible at this scale. The average for all Canadian provinces outside Alberta is 0.3% of GDP.
